Welcome to the K-BOB’S family of franchisees
and company-owned and operated restaurants.
We are pleased to be given this opportunity

Our family, founded in 1966 in the heart
of New Mexico country, is steadfast and
true. Our company has its roots in Clovis,
New Mexico, a small town with family values
and traditions.
We have invested many years developing
and refining our brand, and are proud
of what we have become, but more especially
of what we have remained - loyal to our
brand and to our customers.
K-BOB’S - a gathering place for any occasion
At K-BOB'S we believe it's a special occasion when we get together with friends, family, neighbors, work colleagues, and our school and civic groups. We'd like to be the venue for all special occasions. K-BOB'S Steakhouses serve homestyle food in a ranch-style setting.
A Good Steak at an Honest Price®
Strong on both value and quality, we
offer a check average of around $10 while
serving wholesome USDA Choice steaks,
both large and smaller cuts, tried and
tested appetizers, cobbler in four flavors
and our staple, Chicken Fried Steak, accounting
for approximately 10% of our sales.
We serve beer and wine at some of our
locations but do not maintain a full bar.
We service a population of between 25,000-30,000
with a trade area of approximately 40,000-60,000.
Serving the Food America Loves®
Our customers love our down-to-earth, no frills food. Our trademark and tradename are strong in the Southwest. Many of our local guests grew up eating at K-BOB’S. Customers are mainly family-oriented, working adults with children, and older people. Customer income varies, but we target household income ranges of $33,000+ per annum and in an age group 25-54.
Cookin' Times
Our sit down business is lunch and dinner
in most cases. Approximately 10% of our
restaurants serve breakfast. Opening hours
are generally 11-9 pm Monday through Thursday
and 11-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday summertime,
and 11-8 pm Monday though Thursday and
11-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday wintertime.
Some locations close on Sundays to practice
religion. Take-out business or "Home Meal
Replacement" is on the rise nationally
and we are taking advantage of this market
sector.
Did you know that most of us are eating
as many as half our meals out of the house?
People are seeking more healthy foods
and we fill that niche with our Salad
Wagon®, which features over 54 fresh salads,
soups and beans daily, and our fine USDA
Choice steaks.
The atmosphere at a K-BOB’S is fun and
casual, with a "country, homey" feel to
it. Folks like to sit and visit while
enjoying their food. We provide unique
down-home hospitality table service.
Marketing
We are important members of our local
communities so we make sure we advertise
and contribute to the local community.
We also encourage our managers and franchisees
to join one or more civic organizations
where they can make a difference.
We truly value our regulars and their
word-of-mouth praise of the whole K-BOB’S
experience. We strive to be excellent
corporate citizens and base our marketing
strategy more on local relationships than
on mass media. Word of mouth and guest
satisfaction are what drive our business.

We have a wagon full of resources designed to help you become a successful member of our family. The day you become a franchisee, you will begin to receive our guides and tools to assist you in your business development:
- Our easy to read Operations Manual instructs you in every aspect of your restaurant operation - and your staff if you are not present.
- Peace of mind with our national distributing and vendor contracts that you are getting the overall best blend of pricing, quality and service possible.
- Mystery shops and on-site evaluations to target areas of opportunity, and improve your operation.
- Initial construction input and ongoing assistance with remodel plans or upgrades to your plant. We will send you a set of our prototype plans that can be fit into an existing shell or built from the ground up.
- Marketing manual and ongoing support, as well as periodic mass media placement in your market.
- A Family of peers and mentors to help you along the way.

Once your restaurant is finished, your
success depends on your food, local economy
and service. Of course, we train you for
6-8 weeks in one of our training facilities
so you can be sure you know K-BOB’S Down
Home Hospitality!
We have a national distributing contract
so you are assured we lock in great prices
wherever we can to save our family members
money. We watch our food costs and will
show you how to do the same.
